I was born and raised in northeast Missouri and moved to Lincoln, NE, in 2015. I fell in love with the people of Nebraska and eventually met my husband, Shawn, in 2019. We got married, and I joined him in Aurora in 2020.
I am the second born out of six kids. All of which are boys except me. This shaped me into the confidant, competitive, and caring person I am today.
I loved playing sports throughout high school and college. I highly value teamwork and enjoy being able to figure out where I can use my skills to add value in every situation.
As a transplant to Aurora, I have thoroughly enjoyed the community of people, and out of that grew a strong desire to become involved in the area in a meaningful way.
I thrive on building connections and collaborating to achieve goals.

What is your background?
My experience and training have been on the front lines working with people in restaurants, sales, and retail environments. I have worked in customer service since I was 14, which eventually led me into Human Resources and now Real Estate. When I moved to Nebraska, I started working in retail. I fell in love with retail because of the variety of people to interact with and the fast-paced environment. After 3 years in sales, I moved into the HR assistant position and shortly after moved into the head HR role, where I recruited and trained new team members.
Two years later, I transitioned into the head of human resources for an awesome company. My time working for this company expanded my understanding of what it took to start a business from the ground up. During my time there, the company was transitioning from start-up mode to a blossoming small business that was rapidly expanding. Participating in that process was a priceless experience that shaped my idea of how a God-centered high-achieving business operates.
After a year and a half of working from home, I was itching for a change and praying for a career to get me out of the house and back in front of the people in my local community. Prayer answered, hello, BancWise.
Each of these careers has in common the ability to learn, think on my feet, and be surrounded by people with an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. I look forward to doing the same while helping people buy and sell homes by working for BancWise!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
It was hard to pick what I wanted to do when I was younger (still is!). In elementary I remember wanting to be a Dr. because I hoped to take care of my grandpa when he was no longer able to take care of himself. In high school, I was the yearbook editor, and I LOVED being behind the camera and capturing slice-of-life moments and action shots. This, along with my desire to travel, led me down the path of considering photojournalism. How cool would it be to go to different countries, be immersed in local cultures, capture the big and small moments of life and be able to share that story with others?
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Podcasts, bike rides, investing in friendships, spending time with family, taking pictures of nature, and researching whatever has caught my attention recently.
What is one unique thing about you?
I married my best friend, Shawn. We have so much fun together! I never thought marriage could be so sweet, and I thank God for bringing us together.
Do you have a favorite quote or saying?
People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
